This page is a public architecture preview of the conceptual architecture behind Golem and Golem Physics, the first working domain Golem: a verified geometric lattice for inference systems.

The mechanism is simple: information becomes claims, claims become coordinates, and geometry decides whether the system can crystallize, reject, preserve tension, keep researching, or remain silent.

The Core Idea

Built as Geometric Knowledge

"A claim enters as text. It lives as geometry. Speech is only one possible state."

Knowledge is modelled as a constraint-native truth lattice — a geometric structure where every verified claim holds position, provenance, domain placement, status, tension state, volatility, immutability, and temporal history.

Resonance measures how well a candidate claim aligns with the existing lattice manifold. A claim can crystallise, remain proposed, be rejected, preserve tension, trigger research, or fall silent.

The lattice is seeded with immutable anchors: physical constants, mathematical identities, logical primitives, thermodynamic laws, and epistemic rules. Every node must be evaluated against this bedrock and its neighbors.

Claims Become Coordinates
Every claim receives embedding, domain placement, provenance, status, volatility, tension state, and temporal history.
Silence as One State
When Golem cannot answer, it can hold silence, proposal, tension, active research, rejection, or bounded speech.
Discovery Through Geometry
Anomalies, gaps, invariants, bridges, voids, domain centroids, and missing implications become discovery pressure.
Adversarial Stress Testing
High-confidence nodes can be challenged by counterexamples. Knowledge that survives becomes more robust.
Autonomous Dream Cycles
The 12-phase cycle handles contradiction, crystallisation, synthesis, discovery, mutation, decay, and adversarial review.

The Five Control Loops

Golem runs through coupled loops that maintain state, regulate thresholds, ingest new material, guide learning, and perform dream-cycle work. The public claim is coherence and epistemic discipline, not proof of consciousness.

State persistence — saves vessel state (energy, coherence, thresholds, recovery counters) every 10 seconds. Ensures survival across restarts.

12-Phase Dream Cycle

Each dream cycle is the organism's primary cognitive work. It fires from three independent triggers: verification queue overflow, tension accumulation, or energy-high state. It runs entirely autonomously.

Scan and classify lattice contradictions. Detect DUPLICATE, NEAR_DUPLICATE, TENSION types.

Verify and crystallise unresolved claims into permanent nodes via the Ice Protocol gate.

LLM reformulation of failed crystallisation attempts. Explores alternative framings.

Resolve tensions via bridge synthesis. Adaptive: resolves ALL tensions when coherence > 0.80.

Promote stable, high-confidence knowledge to immutable axioms. Permanently crystallised.

Cross-domain gap detection and structural isomorphism search. Finds hidden bridges.

Inject targeted arXiv and OpenAlex searches for proposed nodes that need evidence.
